The distance measured between the flanges is 4 3/4". Up for your bidding pleasure is an excellent C-70-3 shay project. The quality of the workmanship is superb!! I purchased it with the idea of finishing it to run until my other live steam projects were up and running. Needless to say I never got this project shay done before my other projects. Included in this listing are the frame complete, including the brake cylinders and linkage, finished axles, finished wheel tires, finished crank, timing eccentrics, rods, reversing gear. Also included are a full set of bevel gears, suspension springs and other truck parts. Everything has been sitting for a little over a year, but to the best of my knowledge they are perfect. I have a set of (30) C-70-3 shay drawings (on CD) that I will include as well. This is a heavy item, the frame is steel and brass. Other items are steel as well. There is not even the slightest bit of surface rust on anything!! A lot of the hard work is done, using the drawings included on the CD, plus Kozo Hiraoka's shay book(s), this shay will be easy to complete.
