This collection is truly unbelievable. There are 335 lead Civil War soldiers in the collection. Each soldier has been carefully painted to match it's historically correct regiment. The bottoms of the soldiers have been labeled with the regiment's name. A few of the soldiers are not labeled, but you can tell which regiment they belong to. A real nice 23" x 16.75": x 4" custom wood box with plexiglas top has been constructed to store the collection in.The soldiers have been attached to thin wood bases. Some bases have one, others two and three soldiers. The foot soldiers are approx. 1.25" tall and the horse soldiers are approx. 2" tall. We did find that a few soldiers have missing bayonets or bent swords.I was very impressed when I found that the commanders were also named and presented in this collection. Grant, Sheridan, and other generals are in this collection. The faces of Grant and Sheridan even look accurate.
