The design for this robot was inspired from Robby The Robot....the main star in the film Forbidden Planet. If you only accept the very best for your vintage Space Toy collection this particular example of this toy is for you. This is a VINTAGE 1950's NOMURA (JAPAN)  MECHANIZED ROBOT WITH IT'S ORIGINAL BOX in HIGH END C9.5 CONDITION. The toy is battery operated and works very strong and as it should. When activated he walks straight forward, antennas spin, pistons move in illuminated chambers, the mouthpiece lights, he makes a 180 degree turn then walks forward again and repeats all actions. The battery doors have knurled knobs making this the earlier version of this toy. The lithographed tinplate is pristine looking. The Original Dome is flawless. The Original hands are supple and near perfect. This is the cleanest example of this toy I have ever seen and it would be very difficult to upgrade. The battery chambers are beautiful with no imperfections. The toy is 100% ORIGINAL and looks to be never played with. The toy stands an impressive 13 inches high. It is stamped "Japan" between it's legs on it's underside. Also included with this Amazing toy is it's ORIGINAL BOX. The box is Superb. It is square as a brick with vibrant wet looking colors and boasts some of the best 1950's Space Themed Box Artwork.
