Some are the larger "shooter" sizes vary, but most appear to be about 7/8" in diameter, and the smaller, standard sized marbles vary in size, but most appear to be about 9/16" in diameter. The jar looks old, appears to have been blown into a 2 piece mold, and has small bubble imperfections in the glass. The jar is about 7 1/4" tall x 3 1/2" in diameter. The old looking screw top has a rubber gasket and what looks like a white plastic (?) liner on the inside of the cap. The jar and marbles weigh over 2 1/2 lbs., and this is reflected in the price that includes free parcel post shipping. I don't know how old the marbles are; some look like the old style, and some look newer; like the Betty Boop shooter. Perfect for any windowsill, used as a decorator, or give to your kids or grand kids for some old fashioned fun; or start them collecting marbles.
