It is marked copyright 1977 Ideal Toy Corp. and has the ideal trademark on the handle. I searched and searched, and posted on the internet for information about this raygun. Here's what I've found. It is actually a flashlight that was used, or a prototype that was to be used in movie theatres probably for the original Star Wars, or Alien movie. Since it was made by such a large toy maker as Ideal it most likely came from a big budget movie, but it may have been for some other Sci-Fi movie. It came from a sale of items from an old movie theatre. It is extremely rare, and I challenge anyone to find another like it in the entire world. CONDITION: I have listed it as used, but it shows no signs of being used. It is excellent inside, and out. It works very well, measures 7 1/4 inches long, and will require 2 C batteries.
