Circa 1860s-1915. Both Bauman and Grist designate this type of carpet bowl as "Extremely Rare!"It is also unusually LARGE, at a little over 3" in diameter.  It is in very-good to excellent condition. It has been played with and there are some small nicks and wear. The two largest hits are shown in the photograhs.  They are on opposite sides of the sphere and, blending in with the mottled surface colors, they do not detract from it's impressive appearance.
