Reginald Dalby.  In all, this piece features 5 pairings of reproduction sets.  Also featured is a photograph of Reverend Awdry, a title opening, and an explanation of the piece is another opening. Verbatim from the description: "Reverend Wilbert Awdry, writer and creator of Thomas the Tank Engine, provided guideline sketches form which C. Reginald Dalby illustrated the first book in the series 'The Three Railway Engines'.  These actual size reproductions form the originals of Reverend Awdry's sketches and Dalby's illustrations show how closely Awdry's initial visualizations were followed.  It was particularly important to Reverend Awdry that these final illustrations expressed the way in which each of the trains are exchanging glances.  This photograph of the late Reverend Awdry was taken in 1995.  - Original materials copyright Britt Allcroft (Thomas) LLC 2000" This pieces measures 33 5/8" x 23 5/8" overall.  The frame is in good condition with only moderate chipping on the corners.
