RARE YO-YO PAPER TOY Start Price USD 9.99 Current Price USD 9.99 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Sunday, November 30, 2008 End Time Sunday, December 07, 2008 Location Richardson, Texas See more about ' RARE YO-YO PAPER TOY ' Description This rare yo-yo paper toy is 13 inches long.   Looks like two cones connected together with glue which you can see around edges in the picture.  I've tried to do research on this toy, and was not successful finding anything on it.  All I can tell you is that I was told it was found in a small town outside of San Antonio Texas in a old house ,I would date it around the 1930s to 1940s.  That matches the way the graphics look but I am not sure.  , showing scuffs around the edges of the middle part where it is joined together.  Has a small amount of graphics missing from age.  Seems to be the original string which is tattered on one end.  It says on the graphics the following:  "They call me Hoopla.  I swing up and whirl down roll up and spin down.  I keep on turning, rising and falling around and around with a hoopla".  When the string is wound around, you let it go and it will spin down and come back up similar to a yo-yo.  Any yo-yo or top collector, paper toy collector, or clown collector would treasure the rarity of this toy in their collection.  I know it is vintage and it shows its age and use.  Never seen another one .  We accept cashiers checks, money orders or paypal.
