The book value for this set was around $2000.00 a couple of years ago. I'm sure the price went up by now on such an item. A friend gave this item to me to sell on Ebay a couple months ago. I was told it was a mid 40's version Lionel Train Set. I set it up in a small area to take pictures, and I noticed that one set of wheels comes loose on the green railroad car, but other than that the set was in beautiful condition. There is not a transformer with it, so I couldn't see if it runs. I was told that it DOES run, and I see no reason why it wouldn't by just looking at it. It was very well taken care of.There is approximately 230" of track, and 60" of wire. 2 spare wheels. 1 tree and a barrel. Also, I think they are some sort of connectors, but there are 5 of them.
