Rare Old Colorful Lutz Swirled Onionskin Marble 7/8" Start Price USD 39.99 Current Price USD 39.99 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Monday, November 17, 2008 End Time Monday, November 24, 2008 Location Genoa, NE See more about 'Rare Old Colorful Lutz Swirled Onionskin Marble 7/8" ' Description This lovely old antique marble is 7/8" and appears to be a Lutz onionskin with colorful swirled core with thin bands in green , yellow, and coppery Lutz swirls.  The only time I had heard of Lutz was in searching for a picture or description and found a similar marble on pg. 846 of Antiques & Collectibles 2007 price guide.  I am most definitely not an expert and do not know if it is machine made or hand made,  It does have markings on each end where the color swirls to a point that look almost like fingernail indentions.  I know that it is old because it was my grandfather's and possibly his father's, but my mom doesn't know any more than that.  It has a few internal bubbles and the exterior has a little wear, but looks pretty smooth.  The second picture is from above and has the light showing through.
