Description
Rare Marklin Prototype? Salesman Sample Toy Truck Very Rare Prototype or Salesman Sample This is a most unique model Toy Truck / Car measuring at 18" in length and highly detailed. In all my years as a model collector, this has to be the most interesting toy or salesman sample model I have ever come across.  Has working rear brakes, steering, rubber wheels, all around leaf spring suspension, rear differential and a very large clockwork motor. Model has only one fender, it is not complete but very detailed with a huge Clockwork motor that I have never seen before. Very large and heavy. Truck / Car (looks like a Truck) is very heavy overall due to its all metal construction. This is not your average toy and was possibly made to study the detailed functions of a Truck / Car as in the case of a salesman sample. Original owner believed possibly made by Marklin toy company as a prototype. I have spoken to many experts in the field of model toy Car and Truck collecting and no one has ever seen a model like this but all agree that it is very old and special. Model was exhibited in a Toy Museum in Geneva that closed in the 80's. This is a ONE-OF so you will not find another like it! This model will attract Car, Truck enthusiast's as well as Clock collectors. Very old and made possibly around the turn of the 20th century,  High reserve due to the rarity and uniqueness.  All sales are final. Payment to be made as specified below. Bid with confidence.
