This swingset is a professional grade set; heavy-duty metal chains which are plastic coated to keep little fingers from being pinched and heavy-duty hinges. Since moving to S. Florida 1.5 years ago we have been unable to place it into or backyard and it has been sitting disassembled (easy to load up in a large truck) in our garage. It is in great shape, almost looks new and the redwood was stained just before storage - I'm certain that your kids will love this as much as mine have.
